The wedding ◆ Honeymoon

A honeymoon that works for both passports

When you hold two different passports, choosing a honeymoon isn’t only about beaches or cities. One of you might travel visa-free while the other needs weeks of paperwork. We help you pick destinations that work for both of you, and plan the trip around any visas you’ll need.

Your wedding is organised with Easy Wedding™, so we can plan the honeymoon around your actual wedding date and location. You get one team that knows the whole picture, from the ceremony to the flight out.

Your questions ◇

Honeymoon FAQ

My partner needs a visa for most countries. Where can we go?

More places than you might think. It depends on your partner’s passport and any residence permits they hold, since some countries make exceptions for residents of certain places. Your advisor checks the rules for both of you and suggests destinations that are easy or realistic.

Does being married change our visa options?

Sometimes. A few countries treat spouses of their own citizens or residents differently, and some visa applications ask for proof of marriage. It depends on the countries involved. Your advisor tells you whether your marriage certificate helps, and whether it needs to be attested to be accepted.

How early should we apply for visas?

As early as you sensibly can. Processing times vary by country and season, and they change. Your advisor gives you a realistic idea for the destinations you’re considering and tells you when to start each application. If both of you need visas, we plan the two applications side by side.

Can we leave on honeymoon straight after the wedding?

Yes, many couples do. We just plan around anything that still needs your passports, like a visa application or document legalisation, so nothing is stuck in an office while you’re away. Because the wedding is with Easy Wedding™, we can see the full timeline.

Do you book flights and hotels?

We help you plan the trip and choose where to go, with your passports in mind. How the booking itself is handled depends on the destination and what you prefer. Your advisor explains the options when you talk, including what we can arrange for you.

We’re travelling with different surnames. Is that a problem?

Usually not. Plenty of married couples travel with different surnames. In some cases, for instance a hotel or a border check in certain countries, carrying a copy of your marriage certificate can help. Your advisor tells you if that’s worth doing for your destination.
