After the wedding ◆ Immigration & family visa

Get the visa that lets you live together

The marriage certificate is in your hands. Now one of you needs the right to live where the other one lives. That usually means a spouse visa, a residence permit or a family reunion file, and each country asks for its own set of papers, translations and stamps. We prepare that file with you and keep track of it after it’s submitted.

We’ve helped couples since 2019 with this exact step, because we went through it ourselves. Rules change with nationality, residency and the country you’re moving to. Your advisor checks your case first, then tells you plainly what’s needed and what isn’t.

How it works ◆

Step by step

01

We look at both nationalities, where you live now and where you want to live. Then we tell you which visa or permit fits.

02

You get a checklist written for your case. We point out which papers need translation, attestation or legalisation.

03

We fill in the forms with you and review every page before it goes in. Where the authority allows it, we book the appointments too.

04

We track the file, answer requests for extra documents and explain the outcome when it arrives.

Immigration & family visa FAQ

Can I sponsor my wife on my UAE residence visa?

In many cases a resident can sponsor a spouse, but there are conditions such as salary or housing, and they depend on your visa type and emirate. Your attested marriage certificate is usually part of the file. Your advisor checks your exact situation and gives you the current list of requirements before you start anything.

Our marriage was done in the UAE. Will Europe accept it for family reunion?

A marriage legally registered in the UAE is often accepted abroad once it has been attested and translated, though each country has its own steps. Some ask for legalisation through their embassy, others accept an apostille route. We check what the destination country wants and plan the attestation in the right order so you don’t do it twice.

How long does a spouse visa take?

It depends a lot on the country, the type of permit and how busy the office is at the time. We won’t give you a number we can’t stand behind. What we can do is make sure your file is complete on day one, which avoids the most common delays, and keep you updated as it moves.

My application was refused. Can you help?

Yes, send us the refusal letter and the file you submitted. We read the reasons given and compare them with what was sent. Sometimes a missing paper or a translation issue is the cause and a new application makes sense. If the case needs a lawyer for an appeal, we tell you and can connect you with one.

Do we both need to be there for the appointments?

Sometimes yes, sometimes only the applicant or only the sponsor. Biometrics and interviews usually need the person in question. We tell you early who has to show up where, so you can plan travel and leave from work around it.

Do you also help with the kids’ visas?

Yes. If you have children from this marriage or a previous one, we look at their files at the same time. Children from a previous relationship can need extra papers, such as consent from the other parent. Our kids support service covers birth registration and passports if those come first.
